This particular image was taken at Diamond Bay, Vaucluse. It had an amazing front row seat to this once in a lifetime storm, perched high on the cliffs, located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Some crazy facts on this Image / Storm:-
- The maximum wave reading on the Eden buoy was 17.67 metres (last seen 85 yrs ago)
- Wind gusts reached up to 90km/h (56mph)
- It rained a lot.
- The cliff height is approx 23m (75ft)
- Diamond Bay is extremely popular for rock climbing (even I use to climb here on occasion)
It really was a “1 in 100-year” storm.
